Supported Living
Our main aim is to reduce the impact of homelessness and social disadvantage across Midlands by providing a range of specialist housing, support, floating support, and other non-housing support services. These are all designed to meet the needs of a diverse range of people.
At Goshen, we are committed to treating all clients with respect and promoting client’s rights to choose and control. All clients receive an individual support plan which could cover a range of goals that we may support clients to achieve, from filling in forms and everyday living skills to support with looking into finding activities that clients would enjoy.
Our aims and objectives
Our key aims and objectives are to provide support for those who have mental health issues. We aim to assist people to be able to live independently in a safe and healthy environment. We work with other agencies to facilitate this process.
To achieve our aims, we have set a number of objectives:

- Use our recording paperwork to assess each individuals support and safety needs
- Support clients to develop and work on plans designed to help them achieve goals agreed at an assessment
- Promote independence and encourage a positive approach to risk taking
- Work proactively with clients and other agencies to manage any safety concerns
- Regularly review support plans (or on a client’s request) to check progress and agree changes in approach where necessary
- Help clients to develop their independent living skills
- Make links with a range of other agencies involved in a client’s support, as and when this is appropriate
- Support clients to manage their tenancy agreements and to work towards moving on from the service
- To offer a package of support programmes to develop peoples independent living skills including the Home achievement programme.
The toiled Support
The support at the project will be tailored to meet the needs of the client; the support could include encouraging clients to maintain their medication regime, prompting to maintain appropriate hygiene levels, attending appointments with other professionals, claiming benefits; encouraging and guiding individuals to develop a structure and pattern to their lives to move towards independent living. To aid when needed with a view to accessing specialised support services within the community, completing a structure of support.
Move-on and resettlement: We assist clients in finding or retaining appropriate accommodation; assisting with preparation and planning for the move.enjoy.
